Size guide: how to measure yourself for bras, bodysuits and briefs
Choosing the right size is the most important part of buying lingerie online. In this guide you will find how to take your measurements in just a few minutes and the FP Lingerie size charts for bras, bralettes, bodysuits, briefs and guêpières.
What you need and how to measure yourself
All you need is a soft tailor's tape measure. Measure yourself without a padded bra, or with a light unpadded bra, keeping the tape snug but not tight and parallel to the floor.
- Underbust: the circumference of your ribcage just below the bust. This is the measurement that determines your bra size.
- Bust: the circumference at the fullest point of the bust. Together with the underbust, it determines the cup.
- Waist: the narrowest point of the torso, usually a few centimetres above the navel.
- Hips: the widest point of the pelvis, at the level of the buttocks.
Bras: size and cup
First find your size with the underbust:

Bodysuits

- Bras and bralettes: choose based on the underbust, it is the measurement that provides support.
- Briefs and thongs: choose based on the hips.
- Guêpières: choose based on the waist.
